Tony’s Polka Band performed tonight at Riverlink Park in Amsterdam, New York. It was the second in a series of free concerts scheduled for this summer down by the Mohawk River. It was great to see a new generation carrying on the tradition of Polka music that I grew up with. Tonight the concertgoers could not keep from dancing to the Polka beat.

Jerry Skrocki is a 56 year-old resident of Amsterdam, New York, a freelance photographer and graphic designer with a degree in Visual Communications Technology. Retired from his first career as a NYS Correction Lieutenant, where he worked in New York’s most heinous maximum security prisons, Jerry is also a Vietnam era veteran having served his Country as both an enlisted Army Medic and a commissioned Army Infantry Officer.
